Second in the series for Babies & You, 4 Baby & U 2 - Shirley's Ayrshire is inspired from Ayrshire embroidery, but don't let the name fool you. This collection may include booties and bonnets but it also has everything for amazing diningroom or bedroom linens and it has endless potential for equally amazing adult fashion.Ayrshire embroidery is a Scottish whitework technique for fine and delicate embroidery. Ayrshire work consists of floral designs on very fine cotton. Some of the designs will have the tiniest bit of cutwork; others will not.
This collection offers many different styles of matching designs, edgings and insertions to be used individually or combined together to create your very own motifs. To get going on your projects easier and quicker, varied motifs have
already been included. For the babies in your lives, a bonnet pattern and bib and bootie designs are also included. Each of the designs is included in both one solid color or in multi-colors. This makes it easy to go from the Ayrshire style of embroidery to the Swiss style of embroidery. You will be able to create your own amazing Swiss or Ayrshire style variations with the different edgings, insertions, and blank designs included in the set.
From baby booties to exquisite edgings and equally exquisite matching insertions, you are getting the equivalent of 7 collections of 15 designs or more in each set all wrapped up in one collection, making this collection a VERY good investment.
NOTE: Special notes have been included in the instructions for the 4x4 users
so that they can do the bibs and booties.
Different styles of matching edgings and insertions can be used individually or combined together to create your very own one of a kind Ayrshire or Swiss lace. NOTE: None of the pieces have any jump stitches in the one color designs and as few as possible in the 2 color designs or the combined motifs.

Note as well that the larger size is perfect to make slippers for toddles and to that effect, special comments have been made on the use anti-slippery fabrics.)
