This is 100% English Cotton Netting, I found that it's also called Cotton Bobbinet Tulle or Swiss Tulle... it's very strong for something so delicate but a bit stiff too. It will need a few washings to get to that soft buttery feel that we like.
This is what is used to create veils, lace inserts and allover lace garments.

This is a picture of the sleeve of a shirt and a close up of it.
See how they cut the sleeve pattern piece in the netting/tulle and then just randomly stitched over it with fabric scrapps and it would be fantastic for embroidery on top too.
NOTE: The cotton netting can be dyed as opposed to the poly which can't be dyed at all.
